Achieving Congruency
You cannot be congruent and aligned with your inner self all the time. However, after these exercises you should have a good picture of what inner alignment feels like. This means that it should also be easier to recognize when you’re out of alignment with yourself and how to become re-aligned.
There may be times when you are forced into a state of misalignment. For example, you may be required to let go of an employee for reasons that you disagree with, but if you don’t fire them you’ll be out of a job. Despite your reservations, you’ll need to portray a unified front to the employee during the tough conversation. However, you will at least understand why you feel the way you feel. As well, you will know that you need to get back in touch with yourself. Let’s look at a technique for re-establishing inner congruency.
