Accepting Differences

Another aspect of positive intent is to accept that not everyone is like you. People have strengths, and they also have limitations. You have to consider why a particular behavior is a problem. Is it a problem for you because of your perspective, or is it genuinely a problem? Have your feelings been hurt? If so, then you need to get a handle on your feelings, identify the root cause of the problem, and be prepared to keep those feelings in check.
